To improve your form, you need to teach yourself how to relax. Because your hands and forearms control relaxation, focus on your hands to reduce tension during a run.

For me this is easier said than done!
ReplyDeleteTry carrying something in your hands. One of my old coaches would have us carry potato chips and said we could not break them while we ran. A little funny, but it works.
ReplyDeleteA TBF coach yelled two things at me at Shamrock'n that I thought helped. He yelled, "Relax your shoulders" and "Run Tall". They both helped.
ReplyDeleteI try to remember to relax my hands too. (Anne)
