The gO! Running Group is a Roseville based recreational running group that aims to provide group running opportunities for runners of all abilities. Although our focus is primarily on 5K to marathons, we have members who have completed triathlons (including Ironman events) and ultras. We train on both roads and trails. We currently meet three times per week - Sunday mornings and Tuesday/Thursday evenings.

Results Are In!!!

Great job to all last night!! That was a brutal workout and it was awesome to see everyone working so hard and getting better with every step!! When you examine the results keep the following in mind:
  • Look across your own results to find your "weaknesses." If your scores drop off with longer distances, you may need to work more on endurance. If they drop off in the sprints, leg turnover and cadence may be an issue.
  • Male and Female winners in each event have been highlighted
  • Age-graded scores have been categorized into these broad achievement levels:
100% = Approximate World Record Level
             Over 90% = World Class
             Over 80% = National Class
             Over 70% = Regional Class
             Over 60% = Local Class

The results have been calculated and can been seen in their entirety at:

Let's gO! Snow Shoe

The gO snow shoe event will be happening on March 19th in Tahoe-Donner. The track will take us out on the ridge with the turn around point over looking Donner Lake. The views are spectacular. The trek will be about 3 miles and for those that need more execise we will have a 3 or 5 mile run post snow shoe mapped out. After the exercise a feast of Pam's homemade turkey chili and barbecued hot dogs will be served at Tim and Pam's cabin. There is a great snow play area in Tahoe-Donner if you want to bring your children. This event is open to gO runners and famly. We will meet at Tim and Pam's cabin at 11008 Zermatt, Truckee, CA 96161 at 10am. From there we will carpool to the snowshoe trail. If you don't have snow shoes REI rents them with poles. If you have any questions contact Tim at

That's the thing about running: your greatest runs are rarely measured by racing success. They are moments in time when running allows you to see how wonderful your life is.

Running in the morning has me appreciate all the choices that come later in the day. The choices I make after running seem healthier, wiser and kinder.
